Meet The Souls That Cannot Leave

Walk the haunted grounds of real Victorian mansions, where the dead do not rest and the stories they left behind do not stay buried. The trail takes you deeper with every stop, until the path ends inside an abandoned church where the walls are as old as everything that haunts them.

These are not legends. These are not dramatizations. Fiction is charming. Truth is considerably more disturbing.
And tonight, it happens to you.

What You Will Experience

Seven Encounters With the Dark

Encounter I

The Witch's Circle

Your journey begins in a sacred circle lit by thirteen torches, where a personal undertaker waits to mark you before you take a single step into the dark. This is your warning. Your Memento mori.

The only difference between you and the spirits you are about to meet is time. And honestly, not much of it.

Encounter II

The Haunted Trail of Revenants

Near the blood-stained porch of the Perry Mansion, you will be met by Mrs. Maria B. Hayden. She built a career on the promise that the dead could return and speak freely with the living. Tonight, she is living with the consequences.

She will lead you through the darkness that lives behind the estate. What follows her may be closer than you think.

Encounter III

The Bride in the Box

At the back porch of the Hale House, a bride accidentally sealed inside an airtight cedar chest in 1822 is still waiting. Her groom is still with her, still trying to explain, still unable to let go of a woman who is no longer entirely there.

She has been waiting a very long time. Do not let her choose you.

Encounter IV

The Acquittal of Lizzie Borden

At the infamous Octagon House, the law has cordoned off a scene of personal rage. On the morning of August 4th, 1892, Andrew and Abby Borden were found dead in their home, killed by a sharp-edged instrument. Their daughter Lizzie was acquitted. The nursery rhyme that followed begged to differ.

An agitated reporter, his camera and press card at the ready, will beckon you toward the windows to witness the sensational remains. There, a volatile soul waits to correct the record.

Encounter V

Buried Alive?!?

In the shadow of the Knudsen house, Corina, an amateur occultist of singular and unsettling conviction, seeks a living volunteer to step into a casket and retrieve a final message from the dead. The fear of waking in the dark, sealed inside a casket, is not a Victorian problem. It is a tonight problem.

Corina has found a way to make that fear useful. Whether her rituals have ever worked is a matter of some dispute. Whether they have ever gone wrong is not.

Encounter VI

The Jumping Pit Vipers

In the undergrowth behind the Whitfield Estate, naturalist Marie Firmin Bocourt searches for a coiling, lightning-fast predator that strikes before you hear the grass move. Bocourt dedicated his life to finding the most dangerous creatures on earth, classifying them, and containing them.

Tonight, containment is no longer an option. They are already among you.

Encounter VIII

The Hypnotic Dead

An abandoned church stands at the edge of the dark. Inside, a disheveled priest bolts the doors while a dapper stranger offers to bridge the gap between the living and the dead through mesmerism. In this sacred space, you may hear voices borrowed from the grave.

Some spirits have a message you will wish you had never heard.
